What is the best time to visit Sri Lanka ?

  • January – March : Fantastic time to travel across the whole country.
  • April   : Argubly the driest month of the year.
  • May – June : South West Monsoon blows from May and June.And as the name suggests it only affects the south west coast of the country such as Colombo,Galle,Yala etc..
  • July – September: the weather is great at this time of year. Temperatures remain high across the country at around 29°C average and the beaches are hot and dry. All in all, a great period to travel.
  • October – November : The north-east monsoon blows in October and November.This monsoon does in fact affect the whole country.

Language Communications ?

Sri Lanka has two official languages . Sinhala and Tamil – with English as a link language. Most people have some knowledge of English and signboards are often in English.English is spoken in government and non government organizations,restaurants and commercial places.

Does your hotel offer courtesy Airport transportation.

Yes ,we do have a shuttle service that operates from the Airport to the Hotel .Please contact the hotel with  your travel details for us to arrange the transport free of charge.

Must I use a valid credit card to make a reservation

Yes. All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card ,Mastercard,Maestro or Visa. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize , 48hrs before arrival, by taking an approval for the first night (room charge + taxes). If your card is unable to be validated, your reservation will be canceled with no guarantee of a room upon arrival. No shows- If you do not cancel your reservation and do not show up, your credit card will be charged for the full amount of the first night plus applicable taxes.

What is your cancellation policy ?

 Cancellations must be made before 12 p.m 48hours prior to arrival to avoid a charge of one night stay.You may cancel your reservation before 12pm 48 hours  prior to your arrival date. If you do not cancel by this time, you will be charged for one night’s stay (room charge + taxes). To cancel your reservation call our Reservations Department at 0094 777 688 288   or cancel online at airportcityhubhotel@gmail.com Reservations Department is open 24/7. Please note: Reservations made via a 3rd party booking service (e.g. Booking.com, Agoda,Expedia etc) must be cancelled through that service, and cannot be cancelled by our Reservations Department.

What are the standard check-in and check-out times of the hotel?

The standard check-in time is 14:00 hrs and check-out is at 12:00 hrs..

Is email service available at the hotel?

Guests are able to send and receive email at the Business Center.

 

Where is breakfast served and at what times?

A Continental breakfast buffet is served in our Restaurant on the ground floor from 07:00-10:30 hrs.

Are medical facilities available at hotel?

We have a doctor available on call, The hotel reception will advise. Medical facilities at private hospitals (don’t forget travel insurance in case of accident or illness) is prompt and of a high standard. Pharmacies exist in every town.

Can the hotel reconfirm my ongoing flight and make arrangement for international flights?

Yes, our Front Desk staff  will be pleased to assist with your travel arrangements.

Where is the nearest bank or currency exchange?

Currency can be exchanged in our front office on the ground floor. The nearest bank is located a just 2 km away.

At what time do the banks open?

Banks are open from 09:30-15:30 hrs Monday to Friday and some banks are open from 0930 to noon on Saturdays.

What voltage do you use in Sri Lanka?

The electricity voltage in Sri Lanka is at 240 volts. Adaptors are available at the hotel upon request.

Can I connect to the Internet from my room?

Yes, free WiFi is available in all rooms.

What are the local tourist attractions

All of the main tourist attractions such as the Negombo Lagoon,Mangrove islands,Famous Fish Market in Negombo  are located in Negombo. Alternatively, you can head to Colombo via expressway in 30mins.

Do you have a tour desk where I can book excursions during my stay

Yes we do have a Travel Desk and our operator will be pleased to assist you and make recommendations according to your needs.

Is a doctor available at the hotel and how far is the hospital

We have a doctor on call 24 hours and the Hospital is 5kms away from the hotel.Take about 10-15 mins by car.

Do I need something special to wear when visiting religious sites

Not exactly,but shorts are not allowed.Preferably wear white long trousers and shirts/T shirts when visiting religious sites as mark of respect
